What is Recruitment ?

When position vacant in the organization hiring manager advertise and encourage qualified people to apply for the vacant post. This is the first step in Hiring process. (Indeed, 2023)

During the recruitment process, the hiring manager must conduct several actions, some of which are listed below.

2 . Sending messages to candidates

3 . Degerming job requirements.

2. Events and job fairs - if a company hiring for more than one position then this method is more effective. These place you can meet the job seekers and discus with them about the company and the job.(Indeed, 2023)

3.Job posting -  this is the most common method of the organization to connecting with candidates

4.Promotions and transfers  -  if you are looking to fill a vacant position in the organization you have to consider is there any people who is qualify to do the task with in the organization before looking for candidate outside.

5. Boomerang employees - This is a method of rehiring ex-organization personnel who worked well but departed for various reasons.

What is selection ?

Selection is the process of choosing a suitable person for an open position. Then managers start to shortlist the qualified candidates, and they use different techniques to assess the quality of candidates to ensure they have hired the correct person for the open position. Some actions hiring managers can take in the selection process are as follows(Indeed, 2023)


1. Screening candidates
2.Aptitude tests
3. Interviewing the candidates

5 Performing background checks.

What are the selections methods ?

1 . Application screening - in the first step of the application process, the candidate who has the minimum qualification will be considered for the role. In this process, the hiring manager will consider things like eligibility to work and having completed the necessary education, certificates, and relevant experience.

2 . Skills test - In addition to your resume, the company may ask employees to face some skills tests. This is to confirm that the person who is hiring knows the field.

3 . Psychometric tests - This is a nother tool hiring manager can use to select employees.by this tool hiring manager asses employees personality and integrity and cognitive abilities.

4 . Preliminary Interview - The hiring manager arranges a preliminary interview with the selected candidate after they meet the minimum requirements to do the job. Most of the time, the preliminary interview will be limited to 15 minutes, and most of the time it will be a audio or video call.

5 . Employment Interview - This is the method of meeting the right candidate and asking him direct questions. This will give a clear indication of how much knowledge he has in the industry, as well as his personality and work experience. Always be prepared for this interview with a list of questions to be answered.

6 . Team Interview - Some recruiting managers conduct a final interview with other members of their team in addition to an employment interview.

7 . Reference's and background checks - The hiring manager runs a background check on the candidate to make sure the information on his resume is accurate. And this allows the hiring manager to contact their previous employers,
