 What is career development 

Carrer development is the process of self knowledge ,  exploration and decision making it will shape your carrer.it requires choose and train for occupations that fit your personality, talents, and interests, you must successfully navigate your vocational possibilities.


Factors that influence career development

1 . Personal characteristics - personal interests , aptitudes , work related values these personal characteristics will have a big impact on career development.

2 . Financial Resources - To select certain career might be costly thing.in order to do this you need to attend collages and universities and pay for it and to do this you need to take bank loans , financial sponsorship and scholarships. Financial difficulties you will have to face even after studies for job seeking,

3 . Financial Obligations - every one have there own financial obligations as mortgage , bank loans , childrens education , rents these reasons can be reason for switching jobs.

4 . Physical and mental issues - some people are better with some jobs when compared to others due to there physical and mental strength.for exmples we can say doctors , fires fighters and soldiers.

5 . Age - Age will be a very influancial thing in when deciding your carrer development.some instance you may worried when you have to choose a carrer path.rather than worrying your age concentarate on ur skills and abilitaies and be motivated.

6 . Family commitment - if a person have childrens or elderly parents he needs to take offs and leaves regulaerly.if he recived the help of child care and elderly homes it will be easy to continue his carrer.

Five stages of Carrer Development 

1 . Growth  Age 20 - 25 - This is the starting point of your career you observer your naturals skills and abilities to perform the task and different positions and you start identifying your strengths and weaknesses and decide what are the potential carrers suiits.

2 . Exploartion Age 25- 35 - This the stage were you aply for jobs for long term  positions.you will enter mid term position with minor responsibliies.This period is marked by learning, career advancement, and finding your position.you may expirience anxiety encountering new many situations and new people in this stage.

3 . Establishment Age 35 -45 - By this stage you have selected your carrer and your are moving with your role.you will try to engage in more education activities which will help you to tour carree advancement in the organizationf for management position.

4 . Mainataince Age 45 -55 - At this point you should be satisfied with the job role and achived many of the dreams and goals.in this stage you can decide to wether to continue or choose a different path of carrer.

5 . Decline -  Age 55 -65 - This normally the period many pepole end there carrer after finish the successful works of decades. After retirement you can spent times with family , friends and go on vacations.

How to develop your career

1 . Asses your strenngth and weakness and improve - All jobs need required certain level of skills to do.if your are persuing certaing job try to analyze your strength.

2 .  Create a vission and set carrer goals - once you decide which carrer your going persue and then you have to set the goals.try get the what level of education and certficates required to certain jobs and focus on getting them.

3 . Develop knowledge and skilss - Develeoped the necessary skills and knowledge required to grow in carrer.you can attend workshops , networking with other profeesionals and meet up with your supervisors to undersytand and improove.

Conclusion

Carrer development is a life long process that requires lot of planning , awareness and contionious learning.its impotant to identfy your strentgths and weaknesses and identfy the path that suits for you.always remeemebr that carrer development is not a linear process there can be failures as well.how ever with growth mindset and willingness to learn and adapt you can achive your carrer goals.
